all roads lead back to lenny kaye today. i present for your approval two great records from the deepest darkest depths of my vinyl only collection. i’ve had them both for as long as i can remember and they’ve both been played, scratched, replayed until the grooves wore out. digital magic brings them to you, a little worse for the wear, but intact.

the sidewinders, rendezvous, speaks for itself. play it and be transported. this record was produced by none other than new york’s own lenny kaye. it’s girl group pop magic from boys, courtesy of our friend andy paley. due to the empty space where my turntable should be, i’ve been singing this song in my head for about ten years. i could see the record, hold it in my hands, even look at the cover art… and nothing.

i’m listening to it for the first time in a million years right now with you. and guess what? it’s even better than i remember.
